Update stepper for the Number type field

Would it be possible to add an optional custom stepper with dedicated − / + buttons that could be displayed on either side of the value (or another configurable position)? This pattern is very common in quantity selectors for e-commerce and would make adjusting values much faster and more intuitive.
Ideally, it could be an optional setting so developers can choose between the native controls and the custom stepper.
